Tel Aviv - Hacarmel Market

The Carmel Market is Tel Aviv's largest fruit and vegetable market, go there hungry, start off with a pomegranate juice and eat your way around.

This fabulous bread was available hot, plain or filled with labne and fresh herbs.

The halva stand. I not only ate plain halva, I had it in ice cream, chocolate, wafers and as a filling in Bamba peanut snacks.

Fresh, salty cheese, not unlike feta but softer
